Dear Patience

Dear friend,

Let’s bring back the letter. Because letters as a medium are good for us as a people.

Faculty with words and deep, rich, thoughtful connection with one another—these have more weight than ever. Our best thoughts form over hours and days and sharpen over weeks and months. What if we craft experiences with a cadence that matches our minds and hearts?

Dear Patience aspires to be one of these experiences. We make email feel like a letter, in all the good ways. When you join we give you an address on our domain. Anytime someone emails you there, we let you know a letter is on the way, then deliver it to your real email a few days later. It creates delight and expectation, and fosters patience and depth.

So how do you start? Just sign up with your name and real email address and claim your @dearpatience.com address. Then ask a friend to email you there, or start a correspondence by emailing invite@dearpatience.com with their real email address in the subject line.

Sincerely,
Daniel Heywood
